After The Frost Martini Recipe

By: Marjie Martini

The After the Frost martini is a drink that is cold and edgy, the Icewine gives this martini a sweet chilliness and the edge comes from the apple tang of the Calvados. When you are sipping the After the Frost martini the key is to be patient because you know that after the coldness recedes there is always a thaw and that is when you are rewarded with the ultimate sweetness.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz Gin

  • 1 1/2 oz Ice wine

  • Splash of Calvados

  • Mixology Directions:

    1) Prepare a chilled Martini glass (I generally pre-chill my glasses in the fridge or freezer, but you can get the same result by placing a few ice cubes in the glass and leaving for a couple of minutes).

    2) Combine ingredients into a Martini shaker with crushed ice and give it a good shaking.

    3) Strain the mixture into the pre-chilled Martini glass and garnish with a skewer of frozen grapes.
