Blonde Bombshell Martini

Have you ever been so stunned that your jaw dropped? A few weeks ago I was introduced to a fabulous new martini. I have two words that I can use to describe this martini: gorgeous and expensive. It was fitting that this martini was named the Blonde Bombshell. The shock that I experienced when I encountered this martini did not come from the amazing taste, the shock came when I went to pay for the Blonde Bombshells. My girlfriend and I had just finished our “after work/Friday night martinis” at a new and trendy corporate bar when I opened the bill fold and promptly fell off my bar stool. My eyes had bugged out of my head when I saw the $115.00 total. When my shock slowly dissipated I realized that I had just consumed my first $25.00 martini! OUCHY Whow Whow! If we had known the price we probably would not have ordered 4 martinis. Oh well I thought, you only live once but that would have been a great new pair of shoes!

We were laughing at our stupidity of not checking the price of the Blonde Bombshell(because what else can you do but laugh and remember to check the price next time when the bartender makes a recommendation) when I noticed that my girlfriend was getting checked out. Now, my girlfriend is the true bombshell. She has blonde curly hair and a great rack plus a tan that everyone would die for. However, she is like every super hot chick I know, they are oblivious to the fact that they are bombshells. Just as we are getting ready to leave, two martinis arrived and the guy who was doing the checking out made his move. After polite introductions I sat back and listened to this man try and pick up my girlfriend. By the time I was half way through my martini I had come to the conclusion that his ego was larger than any other part of his body and my intuition told me that he was actually an asshole. My deduction was not wrong. Because it did not take him long to suggest that my girlfriend would very much enjoy accompanying him to his hotel room. My girlfriend was completely insulted and politely told him to get lost. She is always very tactful, me not so much! As he left, she was shocked and commented “What was that? Did he think I was a hooker? Why do I attack all the assholes?” I responded with the statement that she is just a magnet and that blonde bombshells always attract a never ending line of assholes.

The bartender had been witness to this encounter and quickly produced another Blonde Bombshell martini. I wondered whether he was taking pity on us or whether he felt guilty for not disclosing the price of the martinis that we had previously ordered. What ever the reason, I giggled as I took a sip of this delightful combination. The Blonde Bombshell is a mixture of Moet & Chandon Champagne, Raspberry Vodka and a splash of Grand Marnier. What makes this martini beautiful is the garnish of frozen raspberries. This martini was refreshingly sweet with just a hint of kick from the Grand Marnier. It was also a martini that you could drink in multiples. The bartender made the comment that it did seem that she attracted asshole men but what he wanted to know was

“Why is it that woman always go for the assholes?”

It seemed that most of the women he knew where in relationships with men that treated them horribly but they stuck with it. I agreed with the bartender, it was true most women always go for the assholes. My girlfriend was living proof she had just spent the better part of five years trying to make a relationship work with her asshole of an ex-boyfriend.

Why do women go for the assholes? Well there are two reasons. The first reason is that a woman feels that she deserves the inconsiderate treatment somewhere deep inside she does not think she deserves anything better, so therefore she will not demand better treatment. She will continue to put up with the crap. The second reason is she thinks the asshole has potential; this is the most dangerous relationship to be in. This is when a man becomes the BIG P! The P is for project! A woman will ignore all the bad stuff if she believes that her guy has some great qualities, the relationship becomes about control and whether or not she can mold this man into what she thinks he could be. The relationship and her purpose become all about improving and helping him change into a better person.

But guess what? He doesn’t want to be a better person, he is happy with who he is. Men do not change and no matter how many times she tried her ex was still an asshole! My girlfriend who is the Blonde Bombshell never stands up for herself and her ex continues to get away with poor behavior. She justifies his asshole treatment because of his potential. This was the case of the blonde bombshell. How could someone be so stunning on the outside but is so insecure on the inside and in this case just plain dumb. I wanted to smack her sometimes, did she not realize that she was a bombshell and that millions of great guys would kill to date her. Nice guys who adored her and treated her so! However, tonight I just kept sipping because true friends never judge they only listen and drink more martinis.

Conclusion:

The Blonde Bombshell is all about shock value. The Moet Champagne is absolutely delightful and gorgeous just like a blonde bombshell woman. This martini is visually stunning with frozen raspberries perched on the edge of the glass. What is truly shocking about this martini is the price. What is also shocking is how beautiful women can be treated so poorly by men. When it comes to being a Blonde Bombshell it is how you look on the outside and that is generally determined by how much you love yourself on the inside. A women’s self esteem is not determined by how a man treats her, only by how she treats herself. Remember that you can never change a man you can only esthetically alter and no mans project potential should justify any kind of asshole treatment. But the most important part of Blonde Bombshells is to always ask the price or you really will be shocked at the end of the night.
