Martinis at Midnight

The Delilah Martini

The Delilah Martini

How do some women just have it? Power, sexuality and confidence! Is it something that they are born with? Is it something that they learn? What does it take to be a completely confident woman? Does the confidence come with age or experience or both?
The Delilah martini is a drink that is all about confidence, power and sexuality; the complex flavor of this martini makes it a favorite with many women. After all it is named after one of the most powerful women in ancient history.

The Delilah martini is smooth and strong; a blend of Gin and Triple Sec makes this a martini with a lot of power. The addition of lemon juice mixed with the hint of orange flavor creates a martini with a sensual and sexy finish. This martini can be consumed any day, at anytime and in multiple quantities.

The Delilah martini is like starting a show, when you drink this one you know that it is going to be all lights, camera and action. When I arrived at an afternoon pool party I was delighted to learn that this was the martini of choice. This was pool party was like no other, mainly because all the women who where attending we absolutely fabulous. The hostess of the party had the nickname of the "show" it seemed fitting that we where consuming the Delilah because both the hostess and this martini where all about the action. I had heard all about this women but I was stunned by her beauty when she walked onto the pool deck. The "show" was over 6ft tall with legs that did not stop a long curly mane of shocking red hair and a smile that was contagious. Even though this woman carried a presence that could befelt around the pool, when she greeted her friends she was all about genuine love and warmth. As I spent the afternoon with this outrageous group of women I found that they where all hilarious and unique in everyway. They where tight knit, supportive and loving of each other: these women had been through many life lessons together but one thing they had learned was the ability to laugh and laugh hard.

Every group of friends has one or two individuals that are always included because they are pure entertainment value. These individuals are the ones that you just sit back and watch. These are the ones that everyone winds up just so you can watch them go. These entertainers are usually very high energy which is contagious and raves everyone up. The "show" was no exception, super high energy and full on entertainment value.
When the second Delilah martini arrived and a very handsome man walked onto the pool deck I sensed that we where all about to get seriously entertained. It did not take long for all of us to notice him; this man was very tall and extremely hot! All of a sudden the girls started taking bets to see what the "show" could get this guy to do.
They had obviously done this before, it was explained to me that it was always a joke to see what she would do next. Well the "show" was fully in;

“she was up for any dare the girls could come up with.”

After much debating the task was decided; could she entice this man to go down the waterslide with her? If successful the girls would by her a new sex toy! Well with that motivation she quickly got to her feet, fluffed her hair and sauntered over to the extremely handsome man.

I was in awe as I watched her go! I have seen women work it before but took it to a whole new level! She was an amazing! This guy did not stand a chance; she was flirtaous and ozzed sex appeal. The "show" posed and pranced, flirted, licked her lips and very sexually proposed that this man should join her for a trip down the waterslide. We all watched intently while pretending that we where not. After several minutes of female persuasion she returned unsuccessful. The "show" said the hot man did not like the water, unbelievable! However, his two friends would go down the slide, how many toys would she get for two men? Well that was the topper, the laughter from the group of girls I was sure could be heard all the way to the hotel lobby. The bet was off, no prizes for 2 men or second place! The "show" playfully pouted about losing her new sex toy. Her husband would just have to buy her another one.

After my laughter had subsided I sat back and watched the "show". I wondered what it would be like to have it all, the beauty, the height, money and the perfect husband. How had this woman become so confident? The rest of us would never have had the balls to do this performance. Was the "shows" performance about entertaining her girlfriends or was it actually about being the center of attention? With her love of life and laughter was it necessary for her to perform? What would have her husband thought of this performance? I realized that this women was all about a good joke, she loved to watch her girlfriends laugh and the more shock value the better. The inner confidence that she possessed came from her ability to laugh at herself first and then carry that joy to the people around her. Her performance was not about her, it was about creating a giggle for the people around her.

Conclusion:

The Delilah martini is a mixture that is strong and incredibly smooth. The combination of Gin and Triple Sec with the tang of lemon makes this a martini that is so irresistible. This martini can make you sit back in awe because it just seems too good to be true. It is like when you meet someone that has it all, you are amazed. Can a person have true self confidence or is it just a show? We are so use to people acting self assured to cover up their shit, that we doubt true self confidence exists. When the performance is not about the actress but about creating entertainment for the people watching that is when real talent is found. It is always entertaining to watch a show but it is important to remember that it is never real. The Delilah martini is about strength and power, it is like self confidence these things only truly come from what is inside.
