What does it take to cross the line from a traditional monogamous marriage to a swinger relationship? Swinging is a huge thing. It seems that everyone is doing it! How did I miss this? I was introduced to this wild world of swinging on the same night that I was introduced to the wild Electric Blue martini.

This martini is a looker that is for sure. The color will get your attention but the taste will keep you ordering more. A blend of Alize Blue, Citrus Vodka and sour mix with the sexy garnish of a maraschino cherry. Even though this martini is blue it is definably hot! The taste sensation is of passion fruit, but the citrus cuts the sweetness just enough so that it is not to rich. The addition of a slight flavor of cognac makes this martini so very smooth.

Smooth is how you have to be if you are going to be a swinger. My buddy had invited me to this groovy martini party at a fantastic urban apartment. When we arrived the party was in full swing, there where hip and cool people everywhere. This apartment had an amazing view of the city and the décor was killer. The martinis where flowing, and this is where I was introduced to the Electric Blue martini. My buddy and I where sampling this martini and where having a great conversation with this very cool couple that we had just met .They seemed to know most of the people at the party and where introducing us to everyone. I was a few martinis in when this very hip couple dropped the bomb. The guy was very smooth; he very casually asked my buddy if he would be interested in having sex with his wife. I was not sure I had heard him correctly, until he continued by saying the he thought I was hot and would love to have sex with me.

“That was when I choked on my martini and had to pick my jaw up off the ground!”

My buddy started to laugh, he very quickly explained to this guy that we where not a couple just friends. Oh! That is too bad because my wife and I love to swing, he exclaimed. It was all just matter of fact. I did not know what to do or say. I just kept sipping my martini and smiling. The hip and cool couple could tell that we were a little uncomfortable and quickly explained that they did not want us to feel uneasy and that we should take their interest in us as a complement. But, they thought we should know that most of the people that where at this party where swingers and we might get propositioned again. Great we where fresh meat, was my thought. This was going to be an interesting evening.

Later that evening my buddy and I were observing the crowd and we started to notice that couples where slowly starting to pair off. The cocktails where flowing and people where loosening up. There was a lot of nudity and swapping going on outside in the hot tub. I was in awe! I had never been to a swinger party; it was kind of cool in a twisted weird way. It was not my thing but it was interesting to observe how the couples checked each other out and picked each other up. We started discussing with our friends, how do you become a swinger? For them it just happened one night with this couple that they had been friends with for years.

They had consumed a few martinis that night and ended up in the hot tub all together. After the initial shock, it had been a fun. Now they preferred to swing with couples they did not know, it was more exciting. I was amazed, what about jealously? How do you watch your partner have sex with some one else? Is this what marriage was turning into? When couples get bored instead of having an affair, they can swing instead. So is swinging technically cheating? Or is just experimentation?

Swinging has become the new sexual revolution. There are swinger parties, clubs and vacations. You can go to an entire resort and meet hundreds of other couples and swing with a different couple everyday. How crazy is that? Is this a license for marital disaster or is swinging saving marriages from divorce. The couple that we had met, thought that swinging had made their marriage stronger because they both new that they loved each other and where not insecure at all about the other person having sex with someone else. They loved that fact that they could try different partners while their partner was present. The sex with each other was always better than with a new couple but it was a great way to learn and try different techniques. But it was exciting in a nasty kind of way and that is what they liked. However, they did admit that there where a lot of couples that got into swinging and after awhile they would end up splitting up, usually because one of them fell for someone that they had been with while swinging.

As we left the party my buddy and I where still discussing the concept of swinging. It was definably not my thing I am way to jealous of a person to share. He was not into it either, it was like when were in our 20’s anevd eryone was into threesomes and now that we where in our 30’s everyone is into swinging. But we both agreed that it seemed like a very unhealthy thing to do to your relationship. What is the point you might as well be single.

Conclusion:

The Electric Blue martini is full of excitement and passion. The color is electrifying and the taste sensations with the sweetness of the passion fruit and tang of the citrus make this a martini that has a little something for everyone. When you are presented with a situation that is nasty and exciting it can be very easy to get sucked into trying something different, particularly when you had a few martinis. The subtle finish of the cognac makes this martini super smooth, however remember to catch yourself because this martini is strong and with any strong martini there is the possibility that you may have regrets in the morning. It is like when you are proportioned to swing, it may seem thrilling to try a new partner but think about the consequences because the tang of the excitement can quickly turn into a bite of jealously that can come back and to haunt you in the morning.
