The
Fresh Start Martini
As
always insight comes to me in the latest hour of the evening.
This evening was a night of celebration. It was not a
birthday or anniversary; it was the celebration because
the curse had been lifted and my girlfriend could start
her life fresh. We therefore needed a martini that was
celebratory. Something that screamed, ‘Yes! It is
finally over and I can start again!’ Well, we found
it. This martini is truly something that makes you want
to get up and celebrate.
The
Fresh Start is a sake martini. I realize that I am on
a bit of a roll with trying different martinis, but always
remember that the classics can never be replaced. Not
a lot of people have tried Sake; it is mainly a west coast
sushi thing. Now, Sake on its own is an acquired taste
and the taste can be similar to moonshine. However, when
you mix the Sake with Lychee liqueur and Ginger liqueur
you get an amazing sensation. This martini is shaken vigorously
with ice and poured into a chilled martini glass. When
it is presented it is all white with ice crystals and
a big white lychee nut ball on the bottom of the glass.
This martini is fresh without being tart, and the lychee
blends just the right amount of sweetness that enables
you to drink this one all night. The crystal and white
of this martini just screams celebration! This is what
we planned to do all night long..
As we had
our first sip, we settled in for the explanation of what
had caused the release of the curse. By the glow on my
girlfriend’s face I could tell it had something
to do with great sex.
“The
curse that had been lifted was the XEX Sex Curse!”
This is the curse
that is placed on people when you end a relationship in
which you have had great sex. After you end the relationship,
whenever you have sex with another person it is almost
impossible not to compare it to your previous partner.
If the sex is not better than before, you are cursed.
This is very dangerous, because if the curse continues
for a long period of time it is easy to want to go back
to the good sex
In my girlfriend’s
case that curse had been in place for a year, and she
had already resorted to going back for good sex. We all
know that having sex with an ex is like opening Pandora’s
Box. Only chaos can come out of that, and of course it
did. Finally, the curse had been lifted by the God, the
25 year-old sex God. We could not believe it! It was a
miracle! She had been given a gift; somehow this great
guy was dropped from the heavens. The God was amazingly
hot! His body sparkled with not an ounce of body fat and
a six pack, the kind of body that should be on a poster.
