The
Ginger Flame Martini
As
always insight comes to me in the latest hour of the evening.
In this case the great insight was brought on by a really
good case of the giggles. The giggles were brought on
by a really good martini, the Ginger Flame. Now please
remember, that I am advocate of the consumption of alcohol
in moderation. However, every once in awhile it feels
really good to go out and let it rip. This is a martini
that should be reserved for the occasion.
The Ginger Flame
martini is a crazy blend of Kurant Vodka and Cointreau.
This is a unique combination because you have the sour
of the current and the sweetness of the orange flavor.
The taste sensations continue with the addition of cranberry
and ginger. However, the best part of this martini is
the presentation. You know that you are in for a good
time when your martini is introduced with fire! The other
key factor is that you can consume this martini all day
.and all night
Every once in awhile
you are invited to an event that you just don’t
want to miss. But, it seems that everything else takes
priority. In a world of constant deadlines where we complain
about never having enough time to finish our projects
and life is constant juggle, what is it that really motivates
us to rearrange are schedule in order to participate in
a social event? What is it that makes us decide to take
time off just for something fun! Sometimes, it is that
you really want to connect with your friends that you
have not seen in awhile. But, the true motivating factor
is
“FOMO:
fear of missing out!”
This is when you have missed out one too many fun times
and you can not bear to hear of another great party that
you missed. Well,
I had just arrived home from an event that gave myself
and all my friends serious FOMO. We had all rearranged
our lives to attend our annual challenge; a relay race
followed by an all day long patio party. This was an event
that we all had to attend every year, because this party
just kept getting better and better. The 25 teams were
serious about fun; crazy costumes, cocktails and outrageous
antics where everywhere. This was a day where 250 people
just took a day off from life and it was all about letting
loose. The fear of missing this party was the true motivation
for us to take time off work, rearranging flights, and
making sure the kids went to the grandparents. It did
not matter what we had to do the next day or what time
we had to get up in the morning because it was all worth
it.
As I sat on my couch
thinking about the events of the past 12 hours, I could
not help but giggle. My friends had been in fine form
today, everyone had been on fire. We had laughed until
our stomachs hurt, there had been several times when I
had laughed until I cried. We had selected the Ginger
Flame as our team martini due to its incredible smoothness,
and the ability to drink it all day long.
