As always insight comes to me at the latest hour of the evening. This particular evening, much laughter was involved with a great girlfriend and her new friend, the Lemon Drop Martini. Absolute Citron vodka mixed with Triple sec. with a splash of lemon juice, garnished with a sugared rim and lemon rind. The reason this insight is so funny is because this girlfriend is a bit of a health nut and after a year of intense yoga and a low carb diet and the insanity of not drinking, her husband tells her that she is too skinny and needs to put on some weight. (Oh lord yes there are men like this in the world). So being a very wise woman she decides to start drinking again. Ya Hooo! Another health nut back on the dark side. Much to my delight, I was glad to see that she had adopted my love for the Martini.

During our discussion over the Lemon Drop, (which she insists must be made with only the best vodka), she told me how all the yogaing and no-fun- food diet had heightened her sexual energy and this is why she had lost so much weight. (This is why men love dating cougars). After this conversation we got into the serious stuff of what to do with a man who is moody? They always say women are moody, I call bull***** on that. We both have the joy of having partners that are SNAG’s (sensitive new age guys).

However, the flip side is that they have their own moon cycle or time of the month. A man who is ever so sweet like the sugared rim of the lemon drop martini also has a moody bite that is like the sour of the lemon, which has a habit of sneaking up on you. We both complain that we just want our men to be nice to us. And ask ourselves "why do they get so withdrawn when they are stressed?"

 

"Why do they nit pick and nag us to death as a release for that moodiness and stress?" "What is a girl to do???"

“Men have their own moon cycle”

After several lemon drops, we had the answer: The men we love are deep down very sweet so they realize when they have been mean without us even having to speak. We realized that what snaps them out of their mood is our absence, men also get lonely. They thrive in our presence. We also decided that we need the "WHATEVER ATTITUDE", the I’ve just had two martinis attitude, we don’t care about your mood attitude, the attitude and belief that we are not responsible for your happiness and we are not responsible for the mood that you are in at the present time. In essence, it is not our fault. We also have to cherish and acknowledge how lucky we are that they are SNAG’s.

Conclusion:

Like the Lemon Drop Martini, a man can have the very sweet and delicious sugared rim but on the inside the sensitive guy can be very moody and sour like the last sip off the lemon drop. The sweet sugar rim of the lemon drop enables you to endue the sour of their mood. To enjoy the best of the sweetness you must detach yourself from the thought that you are responsible for their happiness and then you can savor the sour in a very slow and patient way. And
